She was attended by a doctor who happened to be her co-passenger on the flight.
The infant and the mother are healthy and were taken to a hospital in the Rajasthan capital.
According to sources, the childbirth took place on IndiGo airlines flight 6E 469 (Bengaluru to Jaipur) which took off from Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) at 5.32am on Wednesday.

As the flight was cruising thousands of feet in the air, a woman passenger expressed discomfort and was soon attended by the crew.
Realising that the flyer was fully pregnant, a paging call was sent through attracting the attention of fellow passenger Subahana Nazir, a doctor.
Soon, Dr Nazir assisted by crew members attended to the woman in labor in a specially cordoned off area on board and within minutes she gave birth to a baby girl.
The news of the newborn was announced onboard much to the jubilation of fellow passengers.
The mother and child were stable and the IndiGo crew alerted the Jaipur airport on the matter for assistance after landing.
The flight landed at 8.05am at Jaipur airport and the mother and her baby girl were immediately attended to by a waiting medical crew.
They were taken to a nearby hospital in the city while Dr Nazir who attended to the situation was lauded and felicitated by the IndiGo airline authorities on the ground in Rajasthan, sources added.
