GUWAHATI: BJP president J P Nadda on Tuesday released party manifesto for the upcoming election in Assam.
Titled Sankalp Patra, the manifesto points out 10 resolutions to make to make Assam self reliant.
The party will focus on making Assam flood free in the coming years.
“We will build big reservoirs around Bramhaputra to conserve extra water under Bramhaputra vision to save the people from floods. 30 lakh deserving families will be paid financial support of Rs 3,000 per month under Orunodoi Scheme,” said the BJP national president.
Nadda emphasised on education saying free and quality education will be provided to all the students. He also promised bicycles for students from class 8.
The BJP manifesto also promises to make Assam self sufficient in fisheries, poultry and dairy industry.
Talking about the jobs, Nadda said that BJP govt will create one lakh government jobs and eight lakh jobs in private sector by 2022 if re-elected to power.
He also promised to make Assam an entrepreneurial state.
