PANAJI: With low response to Covid-19 vaccination, BJP has decided to go house-to-house and create awareness so that more people come forward to take the vaccine.
BJP state president Sadanand Shet Tanavade told reporters that BJP workers have been told to visit houses and explain the importance of taking the Covid vaccine. They have also been instructed to make arrangements for senior citizens to be taken to hospital to receive their vaccination. “We want Goa to become first state to complete 100 percent vaccination,” he said
“The government, chief minister Pramod Sawant, health minister Vishwajit Rane, medical officers, etc are continuously creating awareness, but it is not enough. That’s why the party has decided to rope in elected representatives,” he said.
Appealing to people to get themselves vaccinated, Tanavade also said that from April 6, the day the party celebrates its foundation day, to April 14, various programmes will be organised in the state including vaccine awareness drives.
