Nagpur: RTE Foundation, an association of school trustees, has demanded that the state education board must either delay SSC and HSC exams or promote all students directly, due to fear of Covid-10 pandemic.
The organization’s president Sachin Kalbande said that conducting exams in such a condition is “life threatning”. State board exams are scheduled to begin from April 23.
TOI was the first to report the possibility of state board postponing its entire exam schedule, something which has probably never been done before in the state.
Kalbande said, “There are many teachers who have been infected and are naturally afraid to come for duty. Parents too are scared because they know the risk their children face if board exams go ahead as per the current schedule. We are appealing to school education minister Varsha Gaikwad to delay board exams and save the lives of students.”
