Noida: A group of parents whose children study in different schools across the city met the district magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar Suhas LY on Wednesday and requested him to look into the annual fee demand from the institutions for the 2020-21 session.
“Dozens of parents met the DM and he has assured that the matter will be looked into,” said founder of Gautam Budh Nagar Parents’ Welfare Society (GPWS), Manoj Kataria.
On Tuesday, the District Fee Regulation Committee (DFRC) had asked all schools to refrain from imposing fee hikes and also maintain a system of taking fee on a monthly basis. “Annual fee should not be imposed at this time. Schools should be asked to disclose their balance sheet in case they claim there is funds crisis,” Shivani Singh, president, All School Parents’ Association, said. A parent whose child studies in DPS, Noida, said: “The DM discussed the issue with the district inspector of schools and we are expecting a response soon.”
