LUCKNOW: In a bid to drum up support for the party in the forthcoming panchayat polls, UP BJP president Swatantra Dev Singh will embark on a tour of west UP and visit districts which witnessed protests over the new farm laws to placate farmers.
Singh will visit Sambhal on Sunday and address a Kisan Sammelan at Gunnaur in Badaun. He will also meet party workers and discuss ways to secure votes in elections for local bodies in rural areas. He will also hold meeting with party workers in Moradabad and will cover more districts.
“It was planned that we would go to farmers with the schemes launched for their benefit by the Union and state governments,” said a party functionary.
